Re In Car Nation

Resident BB artist Sean Guerrero's sculptures are peppered along the beach and throughout the town as the artist returns to the sea each year with new creativity. Often using repurposed materials to create archetypal and surreal sculptures, this year he premiered “Re In Car Nation.”
“A welded car assemblage from 1948 transports poet Jack Kerouac and Neal Cassady into a futuristic landscape in the 21st century. Now their cosmic souls watch as the sun sets to West of the Salton Sea, present day. The totemic art form inspires others to eat by a campfire and have a mouth full of dust.”
