Morning Bed Dress

Live Installation Performance
in collaboration with  Austin Tyson

Set in the frames of an abandoned bedroom at a property recently taken over and cleaned up by Bombay Beach residents, “Morning Bed Dress” is a site-specific exploration of “toxic productivity through live movement.”

"This immersive experience is a small look to a modern human moment that we’ve all had. The ritual aspect of how we start our day can turn into a forced necessity. We are told that the completion of it would provide solution and composure. Similar to the build up of side effects within pharmaceutical prescriptions, some routines shouldn’t necessarily be fed throughout a lifetime. We become reliant and dependent on them, in which case their purpose shifts into something unrecognizable."
